Hola chicas...
It's been a little while since my last post and I've been quite I know you have been too. I've finished my Christmas cards and I sure am glad it's over. I'm still not in the Christmas spirit, (bah hum bug) but I'm tyring really hard! So today, I'm joining in on a challenge over at Mema's Crafts. She's one of my SOC sistah's! She always leaves me sweet comments so when she asked why I hadn't joined any  of her challenges...I thought, well, I really don't know. So here we are!!! Thanks lady for the challenge. Wish me luck!

Old news is GOOD news

I really can't explain what happened with this one, but apparently I won a challenge that I wasn't aware of. I just happened to take a gander through the challenge winners list and there I was. WOO HOO!!! The Pink Elephant Challenge #122. This was the card I entered.

Just wanted to share my joy. Thanks for listening.

Merry and Bright

Last and FINAL post for the day...I promise (I think)

I'm combining two challenges for this card. The first challenge is over at CAS-ual Fridays and the other over at The Sweet Stop. I love both of these blogs; they have awesome sketches as well. Are you in the Christmas spirit yet?

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Season

I'll make this one short and sweet.... I'm joining in on the fun at Card Patterns. They have really nice sketches over there. Join me! The sketch and my creation this week are below.

Tis the Season

Hola again,
As you can see I'm playing "catch up"....second post for the day, but definitely not the last. Please forgive me if you're bombarded with posts. This time I'm joining the CASE Study challenge. This challenge was inspired by Kryssi Ng. It's really simple, but you can interpret simple in so many ways. Here's the inspiration card and what I created. Tell me what you think.

Thanks for peekin'!

Seasons Greetings

Hello there chicas,

Thanksgiving has come and gone and now we're on the countdown to... Christmas!!! I love the Christmas season, with all the lights, the fireplace, the brisk air (although I really don't like winter). I still like for it to be a little chilly for Christmas...I guess that's my way of making up for not having snow anymore. (since I left Michigan)

I've been pretty slow about doing my Christmas cards this year. I actually started them a couple weeks ago at a retreat...boy was it a struggle. I'm still not in the "Christmas mood" yet, but hopefully once I put up the tree and start decorating I will be.

Enough of that!!! Today I'm joining the CR84FN challenge. The colors make me think of pine trees and me crazy but that's what I see. lol Anywho, why don't you join me over there and check out some of the other creations.

Until later!

Freedom Isn't Free

Hola chicas!

I made this card a while back but thought I would enter it into the bloggers challenge over at Splindiferous Creations - "Freedom isn't Free".

I'm so appreciative to our veterans for who they are, what they represent and what they do to protect us. So this card is dedicated to all the very special veterans who may not get to celebrate on their birthday!!! I salute you!

Happy Monday chicas,

I'm dropping in this morning with a quick post for the challenge over at The Pink Elephant. It's a really simple one with endless possibilities. "Embossing". Since my very first embossing folder, I've been hooked. It adds so much texture to your project. My creation is quite simple, (CAS, as usual) but I love the colors I used together. Hope you like it.

This week's challenge is

I have two cards that initially, I couldn't decide on...but I chose to use the "Happy Birthday to You" card. I really hope I made the right decision.

Thanks for stopping by!

It's me again. This time I'm trying my luck again with the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge. The sketches over there are awesome. Take a gander at what I created. I'm hoping my interpretation of the sketch is close.

Hot Pink, Turquoise and Cream

I'm joining the challenge over at The Ribbon Reel. The challenge is to use Hot Pink, Turquoise and Cream! Awesome color combo, right?  Well, if you think so, join in and have some fun. I sure did creating this baby! I even made that flower...can you believe it? I was quite pleased with the result.

You're the Best

Happy day chicas!
I'm back today with another challenge... over at Clean and Simple. The sketch is pretty simple, so come on and join in on the fun. My creation is below.

A Great Day!!!

Hello again.
 Short and sweet.
This card was created for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

CASE Study #63

Me again...with my second post for today.
I won't keep you long as I have a few more challenges I am entering. This one is CASE Study's latest. The inspiration sketch by Niki Estes is awesome...her cards are always so pretty. Well, I actually made two cards and can't decide which one to enter. I'm going with my gut feeling...hope it's the right choice. Wish me luck! Which one do you like?

Be back soon...

CAS-ual Fridays

It's Monday....again already. I don't know about you but I think Monday's come along pretty darn fast.On top of that, it was 34 degrees on my way to work....BRRRR!!! Well today I'm sharing a card I made for CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I've always liked grey /yellow for sympathy appropriate I guess. For me, the grey represents sorrow but the yellow is soothing and eases the hurt. Call me crazy, but that's my interpretation. Anywho, my creation is below. Hope you like it.

Thanks, as always for stopping by!

October 2011 Papertrey Blog Hop

Hello again chicas,

There's a challenge going on with Nichole Heady over at Papertrey Ink and I think it would be in my best interest to join this challenge... considering I love orange and green together!!!
The Challenge: Use the colors as your inspiration, or perhaps focus on the patterns.  You can also utilize pumpkins or maybe some felt die-cut leaves.  Whatever you choose, you are sure to have amazing results!

October blog Hop inspiration

Aren't those colors just yummy together??

For friend

Hi chicas,

Just poppin' in to share a card I made for the Sketchbook Saturday challenge. The sketch is pretty interesting but for some reason (although it appears pretty simple), I had a hard time coming up with something I liked. This is what I ended up with...not a lot to it, but I LOVE orange, it's my favorite color. It's actually for friend who is celebrating her birthday today. I hope she likes it.

Be back soon.

Moody Monday

Good day chicas,

Don't have but a minute to spare, so I'll make it quick. Today I'm entering my card in the The Pink Elephant sketch challenge and There She Goes Halloween or Autumn theme challenge. I decided to go with a fall theme. I just love the colors of fall. My card is pretty CAS but as you know, that's my style...hope you like it.

There She Goes Clear Stamps

Later...have a great day!

Sunday, October 23, 2011

It's Sunday evening and I'm getting the "gotta go to work tomorrow BLUES". I'm most grateful to have a job, but wouldn't it be wonderful if we worked 2 days a week and off the other 5.?!?!? Then we'd be asking for something else. Isn't that the way it goes? Well, I have two challenges today that I'm joining and thought I'd share my creation with you. First up is My Mind's Eye with a wonderful sketch and CR84FN with a beautiful color combo. My picture is a little crappy, but I hope that won't exclude me in the challenges. Hope you like it!

Thanks for peekin'.

I'm seeing...PURPLE!!!

Happy Saturday chicas!

I'm in my craft room (and it's a total mess) creating for a few challenges I found. The first one is over at The Play Date Cafe. The challenge colors were very hard for me as I don't use purple often. But, after I started to create, the cards came together quickly. The other challenge is a sketch over at Deconstructing Jen . I may have to use this color combination again in the near future. I debated on which card to enter, considering I made two. I hope I made the right decision.

The last challenge is a sketch over at Lily Pad Cards. This is my first time visiting and entering their challenge. The sketch is CAS and you know how I love CAS. I'm still using the color scheme from my cards above in an attempt to use all my scrap pieces.

Are you seeing PURPLE back real soon!

It's the weekend BABYYYYY!!!

Hola chicas,
The weather has changed and I actually had to wear a jacket today. (crying silently) I don't want my warm weather to go away just yet. But, I guess on the other hand I have a few things to look forward to:
  • hot chocolate
  • relaxing by the fireplace
  • holidays with family and friends
  • maybe even a little snow (which I miss... from living in Michigan)
I'm sharing a card I created for the CR84FN challenge. The challenge colors are RED, KRAFT and  BROWN.

Thanks for peekin'.

Am I a...Ribbon Girl?

I know what you're thinking.... (please don't be mad)

Here's another challenge blog I found that seems really fun. The focus is "ribbon"...and you girls know how much I love ribbon. How could I not join, right?!?! I don't think I own any "lilac" and I don't use purple often... but here's my attempt. It's my first time over there and I'm looking forward to joining regularly. If you love challenges and ribbon, why not join me? Take a look for yourselves.

Later chicas.

Tryin' my MOJO...again

So I'm sure you remember me saying how intimidated I am to join in over at MOJO Monday blog because there is UBER talent over there...the DT and participants. Well, I'm going to walk the plank once again and try my luck with the current challenge. (I'm a glutton for punishment..but a sucker for a good challenge) lol

Biting my nails until this challenge ends...arghhhhhhh
Enjoy your day!

I'm back again. This time with a fun challenge I don't think I've joined before. I found the blog some time ago and it's on my "frequently viewed" list...just haven't joined in on the fun. Don't ask me why?!?!? (it's a mystery to me as well) I flipped it a bit but I think it still captures the sketch. Wish me luck!!! ;0)

Until later.
